Les Paul neck

Well… a MIJ copy anyway. Turned out really well.  This was  another one made to order. I used a 250k pot with the P90 this time, which gives it a nice warm sound.

Finally..

Got this set up and finished.

Slide

These guitars are ideal for slide, as all the frets are clear of the body.

Not very good sound quality and terrible playing. But it gives an idea of what the P90 version sounds like.

Another commission. It has to be green.

Just getting this one all set up and ready to go. Customer specified 1/8th inch at the 12th fret and that’s exactly what it is… After a certain amount of swearing and self-recrimination. They are never the same these things, and they can be quite a challenge to get spot on sometimes. But they don’t go anywhere until they are right and have been played for a week just to make sure everything is ok.

Necks

These are the necks I use. They are recycled and re-fretted if necessary. Usually they are ‘Strat-type’ necks and always really suprisingly nice quality. The headstocks are always re-finished to match the can they are used with and the machine heads checked over and lubricated.
From time to time I get a ‘Les Paul’ type neck. The one in the photo is being used for an order which was very specifically ‘Black can, black P90, black L.P. neck’. So that’s what I’m doing.
